ECDL Level 2

So begins September and I am officially back at college now studying ECDL at level 2, still waiting for my CLAIT certificate so will have to get back to the college about it’s whereabouts. I also hear that some of ECDL (particularly Databases) enters CLAIT Advanced (Level 3) territory with its relative databases. So I have that to look forward to (eep). Anyway all is going well at College at the mo and shall kepp ya’ll posted on that. Also the 2nd series of Japanorama has started on BBC3 and not sure what to make of it. It’s ok I suppose but not sure I like Japan in it’s current climate but hopefully it will change some when I get there and I would really like to see MISIA in concert! Despite this, not got much else to say so will let ya know how my first night down at the Bristol Japan club goes!

New CLAIT certified!

It’s official! I am now CLAIT Qualified and I received my certificate this time last week! ECDL Level 2 is stressing me out but I am getting there despite the fact it’s so tough… I’ll keep trying though since I am now nearing the first examination. I went to the Bristol Japan Club for the first time on Wednesday and it was ok… boring at times not saying anything because many people were close knit and we were like the outsiders although eventually I hope we can be more… accepted I guess. But I think we may have got the ball rolling a bit and maybe it will be better luck next time. I will be at Cornwall next week so will let you all know how that goes when I get back so I will leave you with a sing song from MISIA as my 2nd Music Video of the month is due I think so here is another one from MISIA and it’s from her first album, Mother Father Brother Sister which is winging it way to me as I type. This song is called K.I.T

Enjoy!

Cornish Adventure

I’m back from Cornwall, got Misia’s Mother Father Brother Sister album and found her the Glory Day album so got that too and as for the Japan club they meet again tomorrow at Obento. From Cornwall I have Fudge and a Duchy (Cornish Flag) and it’s also cool being there cos they don’t call there pasties ‘cornish’. Just ‘traditional’. I went to Polperro and Looe and Flambards. It wasn’t as great as Alton Towers but it was... nice. Tomorrow I will be going to a CPA meeting, college and the BJC as afforementioned. It should be a bit better I guess... hopefully! As for college I have completed module 3 (Word processing) so maybe I’ve passed. I hope so cos it wasn’t too easy but then again not desparingly hard either if I’m honest. My mum also went on respite today... can’t see there being much entries this month I’m afraid guys, just been really busy!

Winds of Change

Being a Carer and a College student is not easy at all. It’s even harder when the stuff you’re working towards seems in vain when the IT Industry see it as mediocre. And for the last few days or so this has been playing on my mind a lot and has resulted in me losing interest in the BTEC. It’s a great qualification and there’s no doubt about it but no employers seem to share my vision with this. So it’s being let down badly in my honest opinion. So I’m gonna do a course for a CompTIA A+ which isn’t even recognised by the QCA but it’s what they want plus I can work with an employment agency afterwards so hopefully get somewhere down that route. I’m gonna finish my ECDL as I’ve started so may aswell finish it. That Japan Club at Obento was good. I spoke to a couple of guys there and some other people introduced themselves to me. They also played Japanese music and I generally enjoyed it. I think that the Bristol Japan Club for me as a social avenue with potential. I suppose I should start saving for Christmas now :(
